“Workskills Plus” – a new 1 year Work Experience course from SKOLA.
classroom based study followed by Work Experience
SKOLA has been at the forefront of education in English for over 40 years and our goal is to provide the highest possible quality tuition to our international body of students. Our values are rooted in celebrating diversity and the wide variety of educational opportunities this affords within a structured, caring and environmentally literate framework.
This new course is certified by Edexcel – www.edexcel.com - one of the UK’s leading awarding bodies and leads to a BTEC (Business and Technology Education Council) level 3 . It consists of classroom based study and paid work experience in the hospitality industry or paid placements in a variety of differing businesses.
We aim to equip young people (18+) and adults with the skills to obtain employment and build confidence. Workskills Plus builds on the ABC of employability - Attitude, Behaviour and Communication - to develop the skills that employers are looking for. There are four skills pathways within the Workskills Plus framework:
- Personal Life Skills,
- Sustainable Employability Skills,
- Work Placement Skills and
- Skills for Business.
